مجرة ( M106 )
مجرة ( M106 ) مع مجموعة من جاراتها، الى أسفل اليمين نرى المجرة ( NGC 4217 )، قريبا من (M106) و الى أعلى اليمين منها ( NGC 4248 )، الى الأسفل من ( M106 ) نرى بقعة خافتة، و هذه أيضا مجرة ( PGC 39615 )، و هناك مجرات أخرى أيضا. تبعد عنا ( M106 ) 24 مليون سنة ضوئية، و اكشفها ( Pierre Méchain ) سنة 1781. الصورة نتيجة تكديس مجموعة من الصور بتعريضات متنوعة من دقيقة و خمس دقائق، و مجموع التعريض أربع ساعات.

The Butterfly Cluster (Messier 6) is an open cluster of stars in the southern constellation of Scorpius.
An estimate of the Butterfly Cluster’s distance is 1,590 light-years, giving it a spatial dimension of some 12 light years.
Most of the bright stars in this cluster are hot, blue B-type stars but the brightest member is a K-type orange giant star, BM Scorpii.
